There's been a 27% decline of biodiversity between 1970-2005. This includes number of species as well as number of individuals in different populations.
Human population between 1970-2005 has increased 62,9% from 3,96billion to 6,45billion.
Earths capability to provide resources for human needs and absorb wastes was crossed in the late 80's. Today human population is spending 25% more than earth can give us and recover from.
